VForce named "title sponsor" for Hell Survivors "Trilogy of Paintball"

These three legendary & innovative games have drawn paintballers from across the globe. The first unique game of the 'Trilogy' is the VForce 'GLOBAL CONQUEST Y2K8', June 28 & 29, 2008. This game features seven different teams with ranking military and government officials representing seven different nations. With your registration you get a $50- event jersey with your teams color and flag on it, to wear during the event and yours to keep. This is the most unique game of it's kind, where countries can buy & sell gold on the Global Trade Exchange, hire special assault tanks, NATO Ground forces, buy and deploy tactical nuclear weapons & Star Wars Laser Defense Systems. This game can be won in two different ways, financially as well as militarily. This game can be won by never even sending a troop onto the battlefield or the game can also terminate and everyone looses, if nuclear weapons destroy all seven of the nations at a time causing the "Armageddon Factor". "Global Conquest" also features the 'American Cancer Society Paintball Auction' during lunch break with all kinds of new and rare collectable guns and gear can be bid on. 100% of the proceeds go directly to the American Cancer Society. Plus New! This year "Global Conquest" will be hosting a 'Military Vehicle Show' sporting vintage and current military hardware and displays.

New operators thoughts on the Tippmann X7

Being as how I'm new I figured I might as well introduce myself and my experience with my new Tippmann X7 paintball gun.

It all started about a month ago. A new requirement for my scenario team came down. As per Tippmann's requirements (sponsorship) we are to all carry a tippy of some sort. Kind of a bummer for a guy who is used to playing with a SC Phantom or toting a cannon. I really didn't want to give up my Phantom. I've grown a little too attached to that ole' piece of technology.

Anyways, last weekend I picked up my Typpmann X7 paintball gun basic at the store. The week before I was able to buy a trinity wire stock and a 16" SP Linear barrel. I've got to say I was a little disappointed in how short the stock was and how loose it fit (both if which are fixed with proper modding). No fault of the X7's but it was an initial turn off. The barrel was great, it held a nice tight pattern with the field grade paint. The paintball gun itself performed flawlessly, no problems, no breaks or what not. My only complaint was how tough the front shroud was to attach. Darn! those pins wouldn't go in easy.

Game time, the match went pretty easy. I volunteered to play a 4 on 4 game with a bunch of speedballers. They chuckled a little when I walked up with the X7, you know how that goes. Nothing can beat a super dupper DM *insert number here*, especially a woodsballer with a tippy. Unfortunately for them they didn't take the time to listen to the ref inform them I'm on the field sponsored team. The game lasted only few minutes. I have to say I was impressed right off the bat with how the Tippmann X7 paintball gun handled itself. Good tight patterns and the proper amount of firepower to back it up. I ended up taking out 3 of the opposing teams players, no small part in due to the X7. This thing is great!Beats the stuffing out of a Tippmann 98 (the last tippy I owned).

So far that has been my experience with it. I haven't had a chance to really put it through its paces. I've got a scenario in March for that.

New paintball brand from Tippmann offers ideal combination of realism and value

BUFFALO GROVE, IL - The first product released by U.S. Army paintball, the most exciting new brand in the game, has arrived. Alpha Black is a durable new marker that incorporates several popular upgrades, including a high-performance 11" barrel, an integrated carry handle, an all-metal receiver and a removable magazine that doubles as a tool kit. As an added benefit, Alpha Black can easily be modified to take on an M16 style stock and shroud - allowing players to take the field with a new marker resembling one of the most popular rifles in U.S. military history.

Manufactured by Tippmann Sports, Alpha Black offers reliable performance and durability with its easy-to-maintain in-line bolt system, all aluminum die cast receiver, stainless steel gas line and quick release elbow for easy maintenance.

"We believe there's a big market for this product," said Patrick Ehren, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Tippmann Sports. "There's no question that players today are seeking high-quality equipment at an affordable price - and that's exactly what Alpha Black delivers. Plus, initial consumer response to the U.S. Army brand has been incredibly strong. Paintball players just seem to connect with the physical prowess, mental toughness and self-respect that's associated with the U.S. Army name."

Alpha Black, as well as all future products from U.S. Army Paintball, will be part of a broad-reaching program that will utilize the core values of the Army to promote paintball safety, teamwork and strategy. Each marker sold will include a special U.S. Army Field Guide that will help educate players and provide them with the necessary tools to be effective and responsible in the field. Highlights of the new field guide include safety guidelines, preventative maintenance instructions, physical fitness advice and tips for organizing a successful paintball session.

Alpha Black will be available in two primary versions - Alpha Black Basic ($119) and Alpha Black Tactical ($149). The tactical version comes standard with an M16 style 5-position collapsible stock and an M16 style shroud with built-in site. Both versions are available in a Power Pack, which adds a 200-round hopper, anti-fog goggles and 9 oz. CO2 tank. Each marker can also be purchased with an eGrip that offers three electronic modes - semi auto, 3-shot burst, and full safety auto, which can produce up to 15 shots-per-second. Finally, a four piece Tactical Conversion Kit is available for players who initially purchase the Alpha Black Basic, and then decide to upgrade to the tactical version.
